The company’s research and development agronomists trial and develop new seed varieties to adapt to changing climatic conditions and market demands. Upper Murray Seeds operates in conjunction with a commercial farm whose livestock enterprise includes Angus steers and prime lambs. Agronomists conduct ‘on farm’ tests in pastures and crops where Tooma Station cattle and sheep graze, before seed varieties are released to the public. This vertically integrated, regional business offers its clients seed production, multiplication and processing services, as well as cleaning, mixing and despatching quality seed.
