The annual State of the Region Dinner (SRD2010) held in Albury on Sat 27 Feb, from all accounts, was a resounding success.
Attendees at the black tie event were treated to an informative night, jam packed with a heady mix of topical regional content, regional produce and a dash of frivolity.
Federal Ministers, local Government representatives, industry and business leaders from around the Murray region and many other other local and regional VIPs attended the gala event, all supported by a gastronomic presentation of the finest Murray regional produce.
Master of Ceremonies Jean Kittson, one of the best-known and most popular media personalities in Australasia's localised humour hit the mark, and she was joined by one of the ABC's most experienced radio and television current affairs journalists, Tony Jones, later in the night for a controversial live Q&A Session.
Now the preparation begins for next years SRD2011
